How to prioritize pages/posts in sitemaps?

    Hello, I need to set a priority for the URLs in the sitemaps. How do I do that? I haven’t found the feature on the interface.

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience caused.

    We do not have the option to set priority in sitemap as the <priority> tag is no longer needed or required when creating sitemaps. Google’s Gary Illyes tweeted that Googlebot ignores priority settings while crawling.

    Hi Anas,

    Thanks very much for your answer. I didn’t know that, but it makes sense! Lately, it seems that at Google Search they’re trying to make the algorithms independent from any signal that could be manipulated or exploited by publishers. So it makes sense that determining priorities for the URLs in the sitemaps doesn’t count anymore.
