How to ignore shortcodes in SEO score?

    Hi,

I am using the Structured Content plugin on my blog to add FAQ entries. However, when I do that, the text of the shortcode (sc_fs_multi_faq) is taken into account in the SEO analysis. Since it will not show up in the HTML, this should not be taken into account.

Is there a way to ignore shortcodes from the analysis?

    Hello,

We don’t have any option to exclude the shortcode data from the Content analysis. Can you give us some more details, as it’s not clear to me how the shortcode content is not displayed on the frontend? Does the shortcode contain only meta information and not the normal HTML data?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hi,

    Here is an example:

[sc_fs_multi_faq headline-0="h2" question-0="What is the Trinity Study?" answer-0="The Trinity Study is a 1998 research paper by three professors of the Trinity University. Its original name is Retirement Savings: Choosing a withdrawal rate that is sustainable. It shows that with a withdrawal rate of 4%, one could sustain its lifestyle for 30 years. It is the origin of the 4% Rule." image-0="" headline-1="h2" question-1="What is the 4% Rule?" answer-1="The 4% states that if you withdraw 4% of your initial portfolio every year, you could sustain for more than 30 years. It is a rule of thumb since it depends on the portfolio and how long you need to sustain your lifestyle. " image-1="" headline-2="h2" question-2="What are the shortcomings of the Trinity Study?" answer-2="This study only covers up to 30 years of retirement. This is not enough for early retirees to base their plan on. Also, it is already twenty years and its results should be updated. " image-2="" count="3" html="false" css_class=""]

When html=false, this does not render anything, only schema.

    Thanks

    Hello,

It’s not possible to exclude the shortcode content from the content analysis. We are extracting the shortcode content as most of the themes and plugins shows the shortcode content in the HTML format on the frontend. I would request you to contact the plugin author, they can add the compatibility code to exclude the shortcode content in their plugin by using our Content Analysis API.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if there is anything else.

    Thank you.
