    Hi,

Please can you tell me how I can exclude a url from the XML Sitemap. The page is set to noindex yet it still appears in the sitemap. I cannot find any function to be able to exclude it.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

No this is not expected behavior. Could you please do the following:

    1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks

    Hit the save button once.

    2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings

    Hit the save button once.

    That should fix the issue.

If it doesn’t, please do let us know so we can look at this further.

    Hi,
I’ve got the same problem. And I did save permanlinks and save sitemaps and didn’t work.

I put some page as noindex and it appears in the sitemaps.

I did from upper menu in admin web,
    RankMath SEO>mark this page>as noindex

    How can I exclude it?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Could you please check the if the URL has been actually set to noindex in the page source:
    img

You can also use the page Rank math metabox in the adavnced tab to set the page to noindex:
    img

Another option to exclude the page would be to add the id in the exclude posts field in Rank math > Sitemap settings > General
    imgg

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hi,

I have followed the instructions above and still have the issues of the pages appearing in the sitemap.

The page is set to noindex and is showing as noindex in the source code yet it still appears in the sitemap.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I tested the URL you shared here: https://smallseotools.com/meta-tags-analyzer/ and it was set to index. I changed it to noindex in Rank math metabox under the advanced tab:
    img

That seems to have fixed the issue. Please check your sitemap in a private browser and let us know.

    Looking forward to helping you.
