Assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins and the themes (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.

Only the site admin would know and your users won’t be affected by this troubleshooting.
If the issue persists, please record a video screencast using a tool like Loom showing the troubleshooting and edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

Thanks for your quick reply.
I am using exactly the same configuration (plugins & themes) for all pages. Snippet description editor works fine for my landing page but does not work for the other pages. I strongly doubt that this issue is related to a conflict between plugins and them used.
It looks more a configuration issue with Rankmath plugin that download automatically the first lines of the text content of my page in the description content & then block the access.
Any other idea ?

I wasn’t able to replicate the issue on your site. I was able to add the description without any issues. If you are concerned about the auto-generated description then you can change that by just clicking in the text box and inserting your new description.

I confirm that i am now able to edit the description on the “Hypnose Transpersonnelle” page.
However, this is still not possible on the other pages of the site except the “accueil” page. I have likely a local configuration issue that you overcome when you access to the page.

I have checked all your posts which you have edited with Elementor Page Builder and was able to add the description without any issues.
I noticed you have set %excerpt% variable for page meta description in your Global Title and Meta Settings (WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Post Types tab > Pages) which will automatically get the first 160 characters from your paragraph.
And some of your pages haven’t any content to use in the description. Please add some content then Rank Math will automatically take that content in your SEO meta description.
Please try to watch the second screencast shared in the sensitive data section.

Hello,
I found the pages in the same status with no possibility to edit description field. Nevertheless, I finally succeeded to edit the description field by using first the menu on the top right of the description field. It cancelled existing text & inserted a new meta information (%…%) that could be edited/removed then. More importantly, edit capability has been re-enabled.
This workaround solves my issue even if i still don’t understand the issue…
I removed the %excerpt% variable as well from the global setup…
