One of the posts here said there was an import link here dashboard>Rankmath>Import/Export. There is no import links. So how do we move from yoast to Rankmath?

    Thanks.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I am assuming that you have a previous Yoast SEO installation on your website.

When you first install Rank Math, you should be able to see the Setup Wizard. Here, Rank Math will automatically detect your Yoast settings data and the Setup Wizard will suggest importing these settings data to Rank Math.

You can re-visit the Setup Wizard in your WordPress dashboard > Rank Math > Setup Wizard
You may also refer to this video for the complete and detailed guide.

Alternatively, you can import existing Yoast settings in WordPress dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Import & Export. Yoast settings data should appear also here:

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

I was going to ask a similar thing after importing from yoast.

I have 336 blog posts in the website and it would appear that to get the score for each post i have to go in one by one, which is time consuming and tedious.

Please can you confirm if this is a requirement for Google indexing or if is just an internal measure.

I was hoping to upgrade to PRO but I really don’t want to have to go into each page all over again to complete the process to ensure my google ranking and SEO is secure.

    Hello,

Yes, the tests work when you open the post or page and then the JS for calculating the test runs, so you will have to open each page and update for the scores to appear. We would recommend you to start with the most important ones.

Rank Math SEO analysis tools or tests are there for your reference to help you in optimizing your pages/posts content. Please feel free to ignore them. These are just guidelines and one does not need to follow them religiously.

Your overall SEO or indexing on search engines will not be affected due to this.

Hope that helps, and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance for anything else. Thanks.

What about all your metatags? Do they import too?

    Hello,

Thank you for keeping in touch with us.

Rank Math should also import all the necessary meta details from your previous Yoast plugin.

Ok, I tried this twice and never did I get to any place where it imported from Yoast. What you show in your picture is not what I see. There is no “Import” step before “Your Site”.

But I did find it under Tools. That worked. Thanks.

    Hello,

    Thank you for the update.

We are glad it worked for you in this case.
