How Can Make Sitemap of Product Images

#793087
  • Hi,

    Hope you are feeling well.

I have to add the images of my products for the sitemaps indexing.

I activated the Images in Sitemaps option in the Gerneral setting of Rankmap.

But it is only for post images. I wanted the sitemaps for product images.

    Please guide me about it

    Many Thanks

  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

To include product images in your sitemap using Rank Math, you need to configure the settings specifically for products. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Go to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to Rank Math SEO > Sitemap Settings.
    2. Look for the “Products” tab, which contains all the settings related to products in the sitemap.
    3. Enable the “Include in Sitemap” option under the Products tab. This setting controls the inclusion of product pages in the sitemap.

    4. If you wish to include custom fields with image URLs for your products, you can enter the custom field names in the “Image Custom Fields” setting under the Products tab.

    5. Once you’ve made these changes, you will be able to find the URL to your Products Sitemap at the top of the page.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your product images are included in the sitemaps generated by Rank Math.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Can you please try to follow the steps below and see if that works for you?

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

    3. If the above steps don’t seem to work, kindly apply the following filter to your site.

    Hi,

    Thanks for updating us.

I read many blogs and it is saying that Google is not indexing the images of the website. I integrated the website in Google Search Console and they crawled but did not index the images.

Can you please guide me about it?

    Many Thanks

    Hello,

You don’t need a separate sitemap for images. Google detects and indexes the images directly from the content. However, they only index the images they feel will improve the quality of the image search results. You should follow this guide to improve the image SEO of your site and get your images indexed: https://rankmath.com/blog/image-seo/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi,

    Thanks for updating us.

What is this pillar content option below the focus keyword?

Please guide me about it if I tick this option how my SEO will improve?

    Many Thanks

    Hello,

You can think of pillar content as a main/general/reference page that links out to other subtopics/details/in-depth pages. Other pages on your website will also link to the pillar pages for definitions or to give new visitors a general topic starting point.

Please refer to our guide for more details: https://rankmath.com/kb/pillar-content-internal-linking/

Hope that helps and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thank you.
