How are post "SEO Checks" done? Incorrect info shown…

Just wondering how RM goes about verifying the “checks” it does in the General tab within each post/page?

For example, under the “Additional” pane, it has:

“Use Focus Keyword in subheading(s) like H2, H3, H4, etc..”

Now, how does RM verify if this is true or not? Does it only check if you are using it within the the page title WP post content section or does it check the actual page source somehow?

I ask because I am using an ACF field that provides the opportunity to set an “alternate page title” for display purposes, such as…. your page may be called “About Us” but you don’t want to display a boring old title like that on the page, so you might set something in the alternate field as “Why we rock!”, then this is then displayed within the H1 tag on your page (whilst the actual title of the page will still use the standard page name).

In this example, I set the alternate page title to “Why we rock!” as well as the Focus Keyword, just to test it, so it was getting output in a H1 tag on the page, but I still was getting a “red x” reported for that check.

    Cheers!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Rank Math is only able to analyse HTML content on the page and the content analysis tool will not be able to check through some page builders or data that has been entered through third party plugins such as the one you are using.
The good news is that our developers are working on an API that will make it possible for the plugin to intercept and analyse this data. This feature will be available sometime soon 🙂

I hope this info helps. Thank you.
