homepage seo title does not appear on search results

    I’ve been using Yoast SEO for years and I decided to give RankMath a try. I’m loving everything about it–except for one thing.

    My competitors currently use Yoast SEO and their homepage SEO Titles appear in Google search results. However, when I switched to RankMath, nothing I did made my homepage’s SEO title appear on Google…just the site title from the General settings in WordPress. I’ve followed all the tutorials RankMath has online, and nothing seems to do the trick.

    It’s been a few weeks now, and the page data is correct, but the SEO title does not appear. My competitors, however, are able to use their custom SEO titles using Yoast. I’m considering going back to Yoast for this sole reason.

    Any insights as to why this is happening?

    Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    It is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results and we even have a KB dedicated to this problem and a few solutions we recommend:

    Please check the KB and you will understand the reasons Google does this.

    Google has made some changes to their algorithm which automatically changes the titles, discarding the one you have set in your SEO title meta tag. This happens regardless of the SEO plugin you are using. We have covered this Google update here:
