    Hello,

I run two WordPress websites and both use the GeneratePress theme.
    (a) https://www.teatimess.com/
    (b) https://www.midasdigitaltimes.com/

Both websites have the exact same settings, but one(b) keeps failing in the following items in the SEO Analyzer results:

    SEO Description
    H1 Heading
    H2 Headings
    Links Ratio
    SEO Title
    Canonical Tag
    Schema Meta Data

Item descriptions commonly indicate that there is a problem with home page recognition. Another site(a) recognizes the homepage just fine with the same settings.
Could you please help me on how to solve this problem?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    David

  • Hello David,

I apologize for the issue you’re facing with one of your WordPress websites using the GeneratePress theme. It seems that the SEO Analyzer results for that website are showing failures in several items related to the homepage recognition, such as SEO Description, H1 Heading, H2 Headings, Links Ratio, SEO Title, Canonical Tag, and Schema Meta Data.

To troubleshoot this issue, I recommend checking the following:

    1. Homepage Settings: Make sure that the homepage is properly set up in Rank Math’s Titles & Meta settings. If your homepage displays the latest posts, navigate to Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta and enter the desired Meta Title and Description for your homepage. If your homepage displays a static page, you can edit the page directly from Rank Math SEO → Titles & Meta → Homepage.

    2. Schema Settings: Ensure that the Schema settings for the post or page you’re referring to are correctly configured. In Rank Math’s Schema tab, make sure that the Headline shows %seo_title% and the Description shows %seo_description%. This will ensure that the SEO title and description set up via Rank Math are used for the page’s structured data.

    3. Page Source Code: Check if the title and meta description have been properly set up in the page’s source code. You can do this by right-clicking on your page and selecting “View page source” to inspect the code. Alternatively, you can use an online tool like HeyMeta to check the title and meta description.

If after checking these settings the issue persists, I recommend replying to the ticket you opened or contacting our dedicated support team at Rank Math Support. They will be able to provide further assistance in troubleshooting and resolving the problem.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.

    Best regards,

Thanks for the quick response but I still need support.
My homepage source shows all the required information properly positioned.
However, RankMath SEO Analyzer does not properly recognize this information.

Below is my homepage source that I checked.

    Hello,

The first time we checked your website’s page source, we noticed that the meta tags weren’t generated. Can you please confirm if you are using JS to load the website frontend? It could be that your meta tags are loaded dynamically so our SEO Analyzer doesn’t have the chance to check the tags.

However, after the second time we checked your website, we did see the meta tags being loaded but our SEO Analyzer still can’t see it.

Can you please clear your website caches including any server-level caching services and try checking your site in the SEO Analyzer tool again?

If that doesn’t help, we may need to check your website setup. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress login in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
