homepage meta tag is not responding

    I have encounter issues on the Homepage Meta tag not working. Please help to solve, I had modified the Snippet at the Meta box and the meta on my webpage is not responding, it had capture my Affiliate marketing text instead.

    I had since remove the Affiliate marketing text at the bottom of my homepage and had check on the dashboard.

    Can you please check when the Google cache was updated for that page?

    If the cache date is from before adding the new meta description, then you just have to wait for Google to re-crawl and re-index the page with the new info. If the date is after you made the changes, the next step is to check if your title/description is properly set up in the page source:

    If it matches your settings, there is nothing else you can do as Google shows the title/description tag according to the search intent.

    The best you can do is optimize your meta tags to try and match the intent of the search/keyword.

    Thanks, Todd, this input is really helpful.

    I do think is due to the Google cache. I had sent a request to Google to CLEAR CACHED URL, waiting for their responses, hopefully, this work out well.
