Home page missing from page-sitemap.xml

    Hello,

I’ve been looking online for an answer to this issue for sometime, but I can’t seem to find similar issues reported.

All site pages that are indexable, list on the page-sitemap.xml for Rank Math except my home page.

I’ve added page-sitemap.xml to be excluded in litespeed cache

The homepage is a static frontpage (uses Elementor/JupiterX theme) and checked for ‘index’ on that page in admin (scores 96/100)

Wordpress, themes and plugins are latest versions

Google has indexed the homepage and is not returning any issues in search console

    Thanks

Hi, added links to a private post above and thank you for your reply.

Yes I already checked everything as far as I can see using https://rankmath.com/kb/url-not-in-sitemap/ as a guide, as mostly detailed in my 1st post. I can go through them one by one:

    1. The Page is Set as Noindex
    – “checked for ‘index’ on that page in admin (scores 96/100)” + “Google has indexed the homepage and is not returning any issues in search console”
    – So checked as detailed in my 1st post here

    2. You’ve Set a Custom Canonical URL
    – Uses Rankmath default setting unchanged + root domain (https://www.mydomain.co.uk), same as Google has indexed + “Google has indexed the homepage and is not returning any issues in search console”

    3. Post is Excluded From the Sitemap Settings of Rank Math – no exclusions in ‘any sitemap settings’, or specifically under rank-math-options-sitemap ‘General’ or ‘Pages’
    – therefore I can’t see this as relevant to the homepage listing

RE:If the URL that has been excluded from your sitemap is an author page, then be sure to check the Authors sitemap settings.
    – I’ve just checked ‘index’ for Titles & Meta for thoroughness, but it doesn’t affect the homepage listing, only affects posts + adds an author archive sitemap, which I don’t currently want
    – I can’t see this as relevant to the homepage listing, so I’ve reset ‘Authors’ back to ‘no index’

    4. Empty Archive Page is Excluded – no exclusions in ‘any sitemap settings’ + I can’t see this as relevant to the homepage listing

5 The Sitemap is Being Cached – I’ve added page-sitemap.xml to be excluded in litespeed cache (as detailed in my 1st post here)

    Thank you
