Help with Rich Snippets

I’ve been trying for a long time to apply rich snippets to my site without any success. My rival on this page has applied the rich snippet I’m trying to achieve, and it’s showing on the SERP. I’m writing on the same topic, a list of courses to review, so if it’s not black hat, I’d like to implement the same.

I tried a custom snippet, which is showing errors in code validation.
I tried importing the snippet from the URL, but it’s not working, retuning a broken page.

Your detailed help is highly expected.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

Could you please also share your site URL? I’ve tested the URL you have provided, which you mentioned from your rival, and they are showing fine using Google’s Rich Results test.

However, the star rating they use for the review snippet is coming from the KK star rating plugin. This plugin adds the review snippet schema as well.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

    Thanks for your help!

If you have any suggestions for me, I’d be very glad to hear!

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

The other website you mentioned contains multiple schemas. If you want to have multiple schemas inside your page, you need to upgrade Rank Math to the PRO version.

Once upgraded, you can follow the below guides:

    Guide for review-schema:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/review-schema/

    Guide for the FAQ schema:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/faq-schema-block/

For the Sitelinks search box Schema, It’s already included. You can enable the breadcrumbs schema on your website, Please follow the guide below:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/breadcrumbs/

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

I’m using the Pro version (from my agency). Read that review schema article again and again, without successful implementation of what I’m trying.

This time, I’m trying something different. The article schema is already there, added the Course schema. And added a ratingCount field under reviewRatings ection.

Not sure whether to keep the @type field of reviewRating section as Rating or change to AggregateRating as of the rival.

Here’s the Rich Result Test. Am I following the right direction?

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Both types of Schema should show the star ratings on SERPs. However, I noticed something on your Schema, the URL you are using doesn’t seem like the correct permalink for your page.
    Permalink page

If this is just a simple test and you have not yet implemented it on your live article then there’s nothing to worry about, otherwise, you should fix that situation.

Hope this helps solve your issue.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you require any further assistance.

Well, that was before I set the slag. Here’s the updated one.

Please notice that it’s now showing a warning, how can I solve this?

Moreover, could you let me know some resources from where I can learn Schema Markup from beginner to advanced?

    Hello,

    Thank you for your reply.

This is just a warning, you can ignore it as it would not affect your ranking.

However, if you want to fix it, you can go ahead and edit your schema in the Schema Tab
    schema tab
    Then, click on add property
    add property
Then, enter headline in the attribute textbox and your actual headline in the corresponding textbox.

Once done, save the schema and check your page at https://search.google.com/test/rich-results

Follow the below links to learn more about schemas:
