As for the pages that don’t exist showing up in the sitemap, this could be due to a few reasons, such as old content that hasn’t been removed or a plugin conflict. Using the Health Check plugin can help identify if there’s a conflict causing this issue as well.
Regarding the .htaccess file not being writable, you may need to check the file permissions on your server. If you’re unable to make changes to the .htaccess file through Rank Math, you may need to manually edit the file using an FTP client or contact your hosting provider for assistance.

How To Exclude Rank Math Sitemaps from Caching » Rank Math
Thank you for all the information. The problem is still persisting. I took the following steps:
1) installed healthcheck, there were no isues detected with rank math. i resolved all other ishues health check found.
2)I have no cache plugins installed. i installed one and flushed the cache. i then deactivated the plug in.
3)i edited the file permission for .htaccess and it solved the editing isue.
4)I edited the .htaccess file using rankmath and following the instructions on the web page you provided. the following was added in the apropriate space.
RewriteEngine On
RewriteRule .* – [E=Cache-Control:no-cache]
I refreshed perma links and adjusted links per sitemap after each step.
The problem is continuing. Is there any additional help you can provide?
I just went to edit the camping page on my site, and now it wont load. weirder still, its recomending a debug page thats sending me to the site map page from rank math, and loading all the weird products.
