That’s correct because I switched from static page to the latest blog post for the homepage. But all of my blog post have H1 tags. I’m guessing I’ll need to switch it back to static page?

As a static page, you can add the H1 tag be editing the page itself and adding the tag through the content editor.
For dynamic home page, you might have to edit your theme files. For this I would recommend getting in touch with your theme provider to guide you.
