  • Hello,

I apologize for the confusion you’re facing with installing Google Tag Manager following the guideline you mentioned. To ensure that your GA4 installation through Rank Math and GTM are connected correctly, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Google Analytics Configuration: Verify that you have connected Rank Math with Google Analytics 4 correctly. If you’re unsure, you can use the Tag Assistant tool as mentioned in our guide to confirm the tracking code setup.

    2. Connect Google Tag Manager: If you haven’t connected Google Tag Manager with your website, you can do so by adding the GTM container code to your site. Here’s a general guide on how to install Google Tag Manager.

    3. Verify Connection: After setting up GTM, ensure that it is correctly integrated with your website by checking the container code placement and tags firing properly.

If you encounter any issues during this process or need further assistance, please reply here, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will assist you promptly.

Thank you for reaching out with your concern.

    GA4 is installed already.

The tag assistant is working fine. I also create a GTM and it is not connected with the GA4 of Rank Math. It seem that I do the duplicate work. However, with Rank Math GTM, I do not know how to add more tracking events or access to the GTM by Rank Math

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting support.

Please note that our implementation of the tracking code doesn’t support custom events, so if you rely on those for your website you need to include the GTM code using other methods.

As for the connection, in the Free version, we don’t import any data from Google Analytics, and the settings for Google Analytics in the Free version are only for the tracking code but since you require custom events that are not supported by our implementation you can leave the settings empty for that section.

If you still want to select an account there, please make sure that you select the property that you are using inside your GTM implementation.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
