Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.
You can remove the verification tag added to your website’s source code by heading to your WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Webmaster Tools
Then clear your website’s cache and see if the meta tags are still being printed.
I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.
Hi Reinelle,
thanks for the prompt reply. What do I do when I get to the Webmaster Tools section?
thanks
Ken
Hello,
If the verification meta was added through Rank Math, you can remove it from the Webmaster Tools section in Rank Math.
If the verification meta tag was not added through Rank Math, you need to see the header file of your theme where this meta tag was added.
Regarding roles, you can change the permissions from your Search Console account.

I hope this helps. Looking forward to helping you.
Hi Anas,
The verification was added through Rank Math, but it won’t remove from the webmaster tools section – there is not any data displaying.
I’ve updated the Sensitive data with the database entry for Rank Math – you can see that it still exists. But, adding a new value through Webmaster tools is not changing it.
If I uninstall the Rank Math plugin, will it delete the tables? If it will I can export the data, uninstall the plugin, install the plugin and then import the data again (this meta tag does not appear in the exported data).
Or do you recommend a different way to remove this meta data ?
thanks
Ken
It is now fixed. Thanks for your help.
