Google Search Console not authorizing

    Hello,
I followed the instructions from this page https://rankmath.com/kb/search-console/ and I am not able to get authorized. When I copy/paste the authorization code I get from Google Search Console and click Authorize in the Search Console settings, it looks like it’s loading but then it just stops with no error message.
I did make sure I was logging in with the same account identified as the owner of my site (my verification method is HTML file).
I also tried to add the meta tag as a second verification method but Rank Math doesn’t seem to be adding the meta tag to the page, even though the ID was added to the Search Console configuration panel.
    Thank you,
    Arnaud

    Hi Arnaud,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

The verification meta tag seems to be correctly added to the page by Rank Math.

If the authorization isn’t working, please check if your web hosting provider hasn’t blacklisted API requests to Google.

If you want, you can install the official Google Sitekit plugin temporarily and see if you are able to connect to your Google Search Console account with that.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi Todd,
I can see the verification meta tag now. I guess it was just a caching issue.
    The authorization is now working.
    Thank you,
    Arnaud
