  • Hello, I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re facing with the Google Search Console token meta tag being added by Rank Math even though the Webmaster Tools section is blank.

Rank Math automatically adds the Google site verification meta tag when you verify your site using the plugin. If you have deactivated Rank Math and the tag disappears, it confirms that Rank Math is the source of this meta tag.

To resolve this issue, you can follow these steps:

    1. Check Previous Verification: Verify if you have previously verified your site using Rank Math, and the verification code might still be present in your site’s code.

    2. Check Custom HTML Meta Tags: If you have added any custom HTML meta tags in Rank Math, they might be causing this issue. You can review and remove any unnecessary custom meta tags.

    3. Clear Cache: Clear your website’s cache after making changes to ensure that the updated code is reflected correctly.

If the issue persists or you need further assistance, please feel free to ask. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

    Hello,

The Google verification code is indeed on your page’s source code.

For troubleshooting, please clear your website and server’s cache.

If it’s still showing, please try to clear Rank Math’s transient. Head over to your WordPress dashboard > Rank Math > Status & Tools > Database Tools > Remove Transients:

    Transients

Let us know how this goes.
