  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re facing issues with Google not showing your logo even after adding it in Rank Math SEO and requesting indexing in Google Console.

Adding your logo in Rank Math SEO and requesting indexing in Google Console are essential steps, but Google’s decision to display the logo in the search results is ultimately at their discretion. There could be several reasons why Google might not display your logo:

    1. Google may consider other content more relevant for the search query.
    2. The logo might not meet Google’s quality guidelines.
    3. It may take some time for Google to index and display the logo.

If you have followed all the necessary steps and still don’t see your logo in the search results, unfortunately, there is nothing specific you can do to force Google to display it.

For more information on why Google may not show images in search results, you can refer to this detailed article: Google Image Display within Web Results.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please feel free to reply here, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further. Thank you for raising this concern.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

The logo showing on the search results is called favicon.

Our plugin is not responsible for controlling the favicon that appears on your website. Usually, that’s built into the theme options.

You can also check the guidelines that Google has for that here: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/favicon-in-search

Please make sure that you have the same setup on your website.

    Looking forward to helping you.

I changed the favicon using the plugin RealFaviconGenerator. Do I have to go on console and ask Google to reindex my site again?

+ Google changed my metadescription to an excerpt in one of my posts. How do I change it?

Google uses the Google Favicon user agent to fetch the favicon from your website and caches it on its servers. Since this user agent is a low-volume crawler, sometimes it may take a while for Google to update the favicon if you have changed it recently.

You can use the Google URL Inspection Tool to request a recrawl of your website. This will tell Google to re-fetch your website data and update the favicon accordingly. You can find the tool here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9012289#request_indexing.

Please note it might take a few days to weeks for Google to do this.

Regarding the change in SEO description in SERPs; Google can choose to display a different title and description. It is a pretty common thing with Google these days. It happens with 70% of the results and we even have a KB dedicated to this problem and a few solutions we recommend:

Please check the KB and you will understand the reasons Google does this:

We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have further questions or concerns.

    Thank you.
