    Rank Math free

Have recently upgraded from Yoast. With Yoast my posts were pushed to Google News immediately and my site also had a Google News index.

My posts now don’t appear so fast in Google News, please help/advise.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

I would suggest that you integrate the Rank Math indexing API as described on this page https://rankmath.com/blog/google-indexing-api/
This will then improve the speed at which your posts are indexed.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Hi Michael sorry I should have mentioned that I have also installed this.

    HI Paul,

    Thanks for the follow up.

I should point out that Rank Math does not serve a google news sitemap and for this option I would suggest that you install the following plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/xml-sitemap-feed/ and then disable the sitemap module in our plugin to avoid conflicts.

I hope this info helps. Thank you.

    Whats the point then a
of having Rank Math if I have to have a third party plugging to generate sitemaps?

    Hi Paul,

    Thanks for the question.

There are a ton of other advantages available in Rank Math that you would not find on a free SEO plugin but we are continuously improving the product. The Google news sitemap feature is on our to do list and you can expect to see this sometime soon. The plugin is only able to generate XML sitemaps at the moment.

We are sorry if this may cause an inconvenience to you. Thank you.

Thanks Michael. I have already paid for Yoast but heard such good reports about Rank Math I thought I would try it.

I think I’ll give it a miss for now as most of the traffic to my site comes through GN.

Good luck and please let me know if anything changes.

    Hi Paul,

    Thanks for the response.

I hope that you will consider using Rank Math in your next project and we will communicate any news as soon as we get it.

    Thank you.
