Google does not index correctly

    Hello, I have a new website: https://mejorapress.com/

At first, I had activated the option to discourage search engines from indexing the site.

Once I was able to do the whole site, I deactivated this option.

    Configure search console, robots.txt, sitemap.xml.

I submitted to manually index each URL in search console.

However, for some strange reason, Google is only indexing the home page.

Can you help me with this?

    Thank you!

Something to add, is that in the WordPress reading settings, I have the home page as the last blog posts.

    Hello,

Did you add the sitemap to the Google Search Console?

There are a few things you must check for in order to see why the posts aren’t getting indexed.

    1. Make sure the post is not selected as ‘noindex’ in WP > Posts > Your Post > Advanced Tab in Rank Math.
    Screenshot:

    Individual Post Advanced Tab

    2. Ensure that the noindex is not selected for Global or Posts meta:

    Noindex Settings

    3. Check the sitemap settings and check if the posts are setup to be included in the sitemaps:

    Post Settings

Please note that it is completely upto Google if they want to index or not index your website. So, if you haven’t willingly or accidentally made your posts noindex and Google still isn’t indexing your page – it means that either Google doesn’t want to index or hasn’t crawled your page yet because it hasn’t allocated that much crawl budget to your website.

Please check this website for more details.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello John! Thanks for answering.

I want to report that I have activated and submitted the sitemap to the Google Search Console.

Also, I have correctly configured all the options that you mentioned in the message.

I have also manually indexed the articles in Google Search Console.

And when I want to check each URL in Google Search Console, it appears that it is already indexed.

The thing is, when I search for a blog post, it shows me it’s the home page, not the post.

    Hello,

It just means your homepage holds more authority to rank for that keyword than the individual post/page.

I would recommend building some internal links and external backlinks to that post to make it rank above your homepage.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
