Google can’t index my website

    Hello, team!

I just unchecked the box “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” on my WordPress dashboard to launch my new website but Google can’t index it because it says that it has a “noindex” tag. I checked my robots.txt file and there is no “noindex” tag. I have submitted my website to Google Search Console a bunch of times this afternoon but it keeps saying “Indexing Request Rejected” due to this crawling issue.

I checked with my hosting service provider and everything is working fine on their end. So, I am wondering if I am missing something with Rank Math that could be causing this issue…

I would love to launch my website today and I would love your support with this!

    Thank you,
    Carlos.

    Hello,

Thanks for contacting us and we regret the inconvenience caused.

Assuming that your website is live, could you share the URL of the website so that we can further investigate the issue?

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

    Thank you for that information.

I’ve checked your sitemap and robots.txt, and they seem to be fine.

Please remove all the sitemaps you have submitted in your Google Search Console, and resubmit your main sitemap only /sitemap_index.xml then give Google some time to recrawl your site. Here’s a link for your reference:

Please also note that it is completely normal for a newly published post/page/website to take time before it gets crawled or indexed by Google. It depends on a lot of factors. Your posting frequency + the domain authority are just two of the many factors Google considers when indexing some new URL. Google assigns a crawl budget to your website depending on these factors (especially these two) and that has a direct effect on how soon or how late your content can get indexed.

If noindex is not present, then it is just a waiting game before Google decides to include the URL in the index. No SEO plugin can force Google to index something they don’t want to.

With that said, we have found that barring any issues like copied/DMCA/low-quality content issues – Google usually indexes posts within a week or two. So, we request you to kindly wait.

Google even says that on their official website:

So, you have to be a bit patient and allow it some time.

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

Thank you very much, Reinelle. That’s wonderful information.

I hope that Google can find my website soon because this is very frustrating…

Thank you again for your support!
