We installed the new plugin per the tutorial (Thank-you!). Everything seems to be working as intended. The only issue that I am having is that now my Google analytics page is not showing any activity at all. Before the plugin it was showing all my activity, since I installed the plugin, all traffic has stop showing up. I know that there is traffic because I can see it on my hosting reports, but not on Google Analytics. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Al

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

This is quite unexpected, does this issue affect the search analytics page by Rank Math or you are making use of a different plugin for your analytics?
For Rank Math, you can head over to your Dashboard > Rank Math > General settings > Search console and update the cache manually.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello,

I followed your instructions and found the following. The search console shows that the Sitemap has not been submitted (which it has). It also shows an http:// site instead of an https:// site. The configuration of the API checks properly but not the console information. So we might have an issue here.

    Hi Alberto,

    Thanks for the response.

This is quite unexpected as we have not come across this on our tests. Would you mind doing the domain verification one more time by passing the SSL version of your domain and check whether this will still be reproduced?

I am looking forward to helping you.

I was able to do the SSL domain verification. Now it shows the right domain, still not showing any activity on Analytics, even after manually updating the cache.

I can see history up to yesterday. No activity for today. Let’s keep this open for one day and see what happens.

    HI Alberto,

No worries, keep us posted 🙂

    Have a great weekend!

Ok. I think I found the issue. For one reason or another when we installed the plugin it removed the Google analytics tracking code. The end result is that Google stopped tracking the website. The solution is to copy the tracking code from your property settings and paste it back into the header area of your site pages. Then everything goes back to normal.

    Hi,

I am so glad to hear that you found the issue.

It is possible that the SEO plugin Rank Math replaced had an inbuilt Analytics feature. That’s why the code was removed when you removed the previous SEO plugin.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
