I am trying to unclick index (in global index –> robots meta) and save the changes. However, it will not save. I have already deactivated/redownloaded the plugin to try to fix this and it has not been done. Can someone help me, please?

Also, I watched every tutorial you sent me and nothing helped.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have not been able to replicate your issue, as you can see in the screencast I added in the Sensitive Data section, could you check it?

    Looking forward to help you.

    Yes,

All the information in the sensitive data is correct. I just checked it again. Make sure to hit “shift” to add the question mark.

Rank Math – titles and metas – then you can see index is checked under “global meta”

    Hello,

The “Index” option cannot be unchecked because that is the default fallback. Even if you uncheck that, hitting the save button will make the checkbox tick again for the “Index” option.

The only way to uncheck the “Index” option is by ticking the “No Index” option.

Since you want to uncheck “Index”, that essentially means you do not want to have the pages indexed which is the same as selecting “No Index”. We have already answered that query here as well: https://support.rankmath.com/ticket/meta-description-12/?view=all

Please check this screencast on how to make it work: https://i.rankmath.com/xi8W7L

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
