  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

You can easily fix this problem by doing the following:

    1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks

    Hit the save button once.

    2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings

    Hit the save button once.

I have done this for you and this has fixed the 404 problem. The couldn’t fetch error on the other hand should resolve itself after a couple of days since at most times is caused by the request queue on the search console.

If it doesn’t, please do let us know so we can look at this further.

I’ve been experiencing the same issue and have followed the instructions above to no success. Any insight in how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi Blonde,

Thank you for getting in touch with us and sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Are you having problems with the couldn’t fetch error or 404 on the sitemap page?

We are looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

I’ve been encountering the ‘Couldn’t Fetch’ error in Google Search console.

    Thank you!

    Hi @blonderebellion,

Thank you for the reply and sorry for the delay.

I suspect that your site is aggressively caching the sitemap file.
Could you temporary disable your caching and check if this will fix the issue?

Let us know how this goes. Thank you.
