If I set ‘Open External Links in New Tab/Window’ to off, it seems to remove new tab settings on all links within the_content, even if they’re manually put in.
If I set ‘Open External Links in New Tab/Window’ to on, it adds new tab to all links, including internal links.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
