Focus words on Multilingual websites

    Hi!
We have a multilingual website and are using TranslatePress plugin together with RankMath. In RankMath settings it is possible to add focus words per page, which is perfect. However, I would like to add different keywords for different languages, and I don’t see such a field in the meta section while I’m translating the page. I was wondering what would be your suggestion in this case? Shall I add multiple focus words in different languages per page? Or is there a better way to make our international pages rank with the focus words in the corresponding language?
Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

We have created a full article to guide you on multiple languages SEO with Rank math and Translatepress. You can check it out here: https://rankmath.com/kb/multiple-languages-seo-rankmath-translatepress/

When you edit the translated page, you will see SEO options specific to that page and that’s how you optimize a translated page for its own target keywords.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.

    Hi Reinelle!

Thanks a lot for your reply! Indeed, the article explains everything properly. It does not answer my question though.
I am trying to understand how to set focus words per language and trying to find a workaround in case it is impossible.
What is explained in the article is how to translate meta description and meta title, but not the focus word. Could you, please, elaborate on that?

    Thanks a lot!
    Looking forward to hearing back

    Kind regards,
    Ivan

    Hello,

The focus keywords in Rank math post analysis are mostly used for optimizing the post content. Since Translatepress mostly translates content in the front end instead of within editor, tis option may not be necessary.

Is there a reason you wish to translate the focus keyword?

    Looking forward to helping you.
