Hello! I am just in the process of switching from Yoast to RankMath, after a great recommendation from a friend. First site I am working on here https://geo.bantergroup.com.au/ I’m facing problems where RankMath can’t see alt text within the page.

I am getting the “Focus Keyword not found in image alt attribute” message on this page, however alt tags are definitely in place, and I can see them in the source code.

The site is built with Elementor, but all the info I can find online indicates RankMath is compatible with Elementor.

Can you please advise if I’m missing something here?

Regards
Melanie

Hi Melanie,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

Yes, Rank Math is fully compatible with Elementor.

Can you please confirm if you are maybe using any shortcodes to add the images? We cannot read the content within shortcodes currently.

If not, can you please check the page source and see if the image alt is correctly added to the image in question?

We look forward to helping you.

I am facing the same issue.

I have added focus keyword as alt text in one of the image, infact 2 but I still get this error Add an image with your Focus Keyword as alt text.

please help

focus keyword: best job sites in india

I have check source code and the focus keyword is perfectly placed in within the alt tag.

Also, No outbound links were found. Link out to external resources & We found 0 outbound links in your content and all of them are nofollow. appears to be missing. even though i have added outbound/external links wihtin the page.

Hi Iqbal,

It seems like you are using Divi. The Image module from the Divi theme is currently not readable by Rank Math.

We are working on fixing that though.

I appreciate your patience in this matter.

Thank you.

Hmmm … I’ve just checked again, and now RankMath is saying “Focus Keyword found in image alt attribute(s).” with a green check … strange!

Regards
Melanie

Hi Melanie,

So we assume it is all fixed? 🙂

Do let us know if the issue returns. We would love to take a closer look for you.

I’m having the same problem with my Divi sites. Please fix this ASAP.

Now, who is to be held responsible for this mess. Divi or Rankmath?

Hi,

We have added API access to the content analysis in the Rank Math plugin to make content from page builder plugins readable by Rank Math.

You would need to contact the developer of the Divi by showing the following link:
https://rankmath.com/kb/content-analysis-api/

Many known companies have already added the compatibility, as it takes a few hours:
https://rankmath.com/compatibility/themify-builder/
https://rankmath.com/compatibility/page-builder-framework/
https://rankmath.com/compatibility/flothemes/

I hope that helps. Please let us know if there’s anything else you need our assistance with. More than happy to help.

Thank you.

Hi Todd! Thanks for your reply.

I am using the Elementor Image Widget to insert images, such as here https://pasteboard.co/IUpNsLw.png

I can see the code in the page source:

<img width=”1024″ height=”732″ src=”https://geo.bantergroup.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/Highlands-Geo-How-it-works-1024×732.jpg” class=”attachment-large size-large” alt=”Highlands GeoExchange, Geothermal Energy, how it works” …

The Alt tag is definitely added in WP Media Library – https://pasteboard.co/IUpN6zZ.png

Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated! I’d really like to be able to switch to Rank Math for all my projects – seems like a great plugin!

Regards
Melanie
