Hello,
Thank you for contacting us and we regret the inconvenience caused.
I checked and the updateMeta
route is getting blocked on your website.
Here’s a screenshot: https://i.rankmath.com/GOteCH
Please whitelist the below route to fix the issue:
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
For more details, please refer to this guide:

Let us know how that goes.
Thank you.
Thank you for your help. We did that and now we can save focus keywords again, but the old one (1.600 posts) are still missing. How can we get them back?
Hello,
I tried saving the focus keyword and it seems to be working fine now. Please check my screencast in the Sensitive Data section.
Could you please check it again on your end?
As for your missing focus keywords, could you please head over to your database and check, the wp_postmeta table if there are rank_math_focus_keyword
post metas for those 1600 posts?
Looking forward to helping you with this one.
Hi and thank you. As mentioned above, saving focus keywords is working again after whitelisting URL in firewall settings. The only big problem is that every focus keyword on old posts are still missing.
We found the focus keywords in the database, can you tell us how we can bring them back to the posts in wordpress? Thanks!
Hello,
Did you make any cleanup of the database recently or imported this data from somewhere else? Have the posts been changed recently?
We ask that because we can see a lot of entries for the rank_math_focus_keyword
in the database but they have posts ID that is earlier than the ones you currently have on your posts.
This indicates to us that those posts were deleted and the new ones were re-created.
Hope this helps provide further clarity into the situation.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
“Did you make any cleanup of the database recently or imported this data from somewhere else? Have the posts been changed recently?”
-> No – we did not change anything. There is just one person writing the articles active on this website who does not know anything about websites. He just informed as that suddenly all focus keywords were missing.
Hello,
Unfortunately, we can only report what we see and that is that there are currently 292 posts without a focus keyword key in the postmeta
database table.
If those posts had that key before then someone deleted those entries from the database as our plugin doesn’t remove entries relative to the focus keyword, not even when it fails to update them.
Hope this helps clarify your doubts.
Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
