Fixing Incorrect Facebook Thumbnail

#97127
  • Hello, I am trying to figure out how or where to go to potentially be able to fix the error that may be occurring with having the wrong facebook thumbnail upon sharing my link. Originally started with Yoast and switched over, as in the Debugger it looks like it is still in there although when I view source on my site it is not there.

Went through facebook debugger and gave 2 warnings: Image Too Small- Provided og:image URL, https://beautifulsoulcounseling.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/logo-print-hd-transparent-150×150.png was not valid because it did not meet the minimum size constraint of 200px by 200px.
Missing Properties – The following required properties are missing: fb:app_id

Not really sure where that image is anymore. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Just looking to have my logo be the thumbnail.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

You need to add your own image as Facebook image under Rank Math’s Social tab under post/page editor to make it work when you share.

You can check this KB which may help you with this:

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

You need to make sure you have added the Facebook App ID under Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Social Meta > Facebook App and the Facebook Secret.

Then it’ll work fine for you.

    Thank you.

app ID and fb secret added, cache purged, re-scraped on facebook debugger, no change.

    Hello,

Your site seems to be bringing a cached page to the Facebook scraper. In fact, it is returning a version with Yoast still there.

You can see what Facebook is getting here: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/echo/?q=https%3A%2F%2Fbeautifulsoulcounseling.com%2F

I cleared your cache (the plugin you have) and it stills have the issue so it might be some cache in your server. My recommendation would be to contact you hosting support, to check it with them so they might find what is caching the site.

    Looking forward to help you.
