    Hello Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue where the featured images on my website do not display as previews when shared on social media platforms. I have thoroughly reviewed and implemented all steps provided in your documentation here, but unfortunately, the issue persists.

Despite correctly setting up the featured images, they still do not appear in social media previews. Could you please investigate why the Open Graph images are not being displayed as expected?

Thank you very much for your assistance.

    Best regards,

  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with the featured images not displaying in social media previews. Thank you for raising this concern.

Here are a few things you can check to troubleshoot the problem:

    1. Check if Facebook/Twitter Sharing Images are Added: Ensure that you have added the Facebook/Twitter sharing images through the Rank Math Meta Box. You can refer to this image for guidance:
      Social Meta using Rank Math

    2. Image Dimensions & Format: Verify that the images you are using meet the recommended dimensions of 1200px X 630px and are in a supported format (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP). If the dimensions are too small or too large, social networks may not read your image correctly.

    3. Check Open Graph Tags in Source Code: Make sure that the og:image tag is present in the source code of your page. If it is found towards the end of the source code, it may not be detected by social media platforms. Here’s an example of how to check:

    4. Gzip Compression: If you have gzip compression enabled in your caching plugin, try disabling it as it can interfere with Facebook’s Open Graph detection. You can find this option in W3 Total Cache under Performance → Browser Cache → HTTP (gzip) compression.
      Disable HTTP (gzip) compression

    5. Clear Cache: After making any changes, ensure to clear your website and server cache, including any caching services like Cloudflare.

    6. Use Facebook Debugger: Finally, use the Facebook Sharing Debugger to scrape your page again after making these adjustments. Click on the Scrape Again button to refresh the Open Graph tags.

If you have checked all these points and the issue still persists, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will take over and assist you further.

We hope this helps resolve your issue!
