featured image thumbnail not showing in SERP preview

    I have just switched to RankMath from YOAST PRO because of the stronger schema support and so far I love everything.

    However, I notice that my SERP previews no longer include the featured image as a thumbnail, and I expect this to decrease my CTR.

    I have skimmed past questions and the knowledge base but don’t see anyone else mentioning this.

    The advanced tab seems to have the right settings “image do index,” etc.

    What am I doing wrong?

    to clarify, I mean this element I am used to in Yoast does not seem to be showing in RankMath. Have I misconfigured it or is it missing?

    Thanks for getting in touch with us.

    We do not have that feature.

    But, please note that it is just the preview we are talking about. Both plugins add the required Schema needed to show the image in actual SERPs.

    You can verify this on SDTT https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/u/0/

    Thanks, so that means the only thing that’s lacking is the preview of the image in the SERP. But the result for the actual serp is no different: correct?
