fatal error

  • Hi, I have just recently installed RankMath to my WP website and I’ve started to revamp pages. This morning, I got a fatal error and after doing some testing, it is clear that it is caused by RankMath. I uninstalled and deleted it and reinstalled it and I still get a fatal error when activating. How can this issue be resolved?

Currently, I’m using the free version but looking at upgrading to access more keywords. However, I want to be assured that I will not have issues with this plugin before doing so.

    Thanks for

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Since your website is throwing a fatal error upon activating the plugin, we may need to access your FTP so we can revert it back to a working state when it goes fatal error again while troubleshooting.

Please share your FTP login in the sensitive data section.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi, I don’t use FTP.

We cannot troubleshoot the issue without the ability to recover the website when a fatal error is triggered. Alternatively, please may you share the error logs for your website. You can follow this guide for how to find the WordPress error log: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-find-and-access-wordpress-error-logs-step-by-step/

You can share the error log as a text file using a tool like wetransfer.com

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have questions.

Hi Nigel, at this point, I think it is best for me to find another plugin. Have a great day!
