What will happen to the schema added by RM if I change/update my theme? Will I need to add the schema again?

The Schema will stay applied to your posts. Changing the theme will not affect the Schema added by our plugin. Also, if you want to add the FAQ Schema with the Article Schema in the free version, you can do that by adding the FAQ block to your posts. The FAQ block will add the FAQ Schema and you can use the Schema generator to add the Article Schema.

When I added FAQ schema with Article schema in free version of RM, and tested the post’s URL in validator.schema.org, no FAQ schema was detected.

Please expand the Article Schema as the FAQ Schema is nested inside it. You can also use the Rich Results Test to confirm that the FAQ Schema is being added to the post and validating fine: https://search.google.com/test/rich-results/result?id=Shwub5PrsH45dB55jd9JoQ
