Facebook/Twitter Images not working

    Hi,

    For some reason now whenever I try to share one of my stories on Facebook the featured image does not show up. Same with Twitter.

    When I run the story through Facebook debugger twice, the image appears on Facebook.

    However, I did not used to have to run my stories through debugger each time to get the image to appear on Facebook.

    Do you have any idea what might be causing this?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    This is a pretty common error when the posts or page has not been shared before and thus the data is not available in the Facebook cache. This should however resolve itself after a few shares.
    Rank Math automatically adds the share image to the page source and thus this is outside the control of the plugin:

    Thank you for the prompt response. Prior to adding this plugin my featured image would fill automatically, without me needing to run the link through debugger.

    Is there anything that can be done to make it work like that again?

    It is a bit tedious to have to run every single article through debugger after publishing. I am also concerned that my old articles if anyone wants to share them will now appear without images.

    Have you recently installed a new caching plugin? Could you please check whether the problem can be replicated when you disable the caching plugin?

    I recently installed Autoptimze and ShortPixel. Do RankMath and Autotimize/Shortpixel not go together?

    I uninstalled both plugins (Autoptimze and ShortPixel) and only left Rank Math in, but the issue persisted.

    I am not sure that the image compression plugin caused this. Could you please upload some new test images that have not been compressed and then check if the issue will still be reported?
