Error while signing in to my Google account to connect to Google Services

I am having trouble connecting my Google Search Console account to Rank Math using the General > Analytics > Connect Google Service option. When I select my Google account and give all necessary permissions, it redirects me to my website’s 404 page(Page Not Found), and displays the message “Oops! That Page Can’t Be Found”. I have tried this on both the latest Rank Math versions, 1.0.206 and 1.0.205. How can I fix this issue?

  • Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues connecting your Google Search Console account to Rank Math. It seems like there might be a glitch in the connection process. To resolve this issue, I recommend testing the connection between Rank Math and your Google account.

To do this, please follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Analytics in your WordPress dashboard.

    2. Click on the Test Connections option at the top right of the Analytics settings.

    3. After clicking the option, Rank Math will start to validate the existing connections. A green signal indicates a valid connection, while a red signal indicates a glitch in the corresponding connection.

If you see a red signal or encounter any issues during the test, you can try reconnecting your Google account with Rank Math. Here’s how you can do it:

    1. Click on the Reconnect button at the top of the Analytics settings in Rank Math.

    2. Allow all the necessary permissions when prompted.

    3. After reconnecting, make sure to select all the values in the drop-down list to configure Analytics properties and then click on Save Changes.

If the issue persists even after reconnecting your Google account, or if you see a red signal again when you validate your connection, please share the error log with us by opening a support ticket here.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

For troubleshooting, please get in touch with your web host and ensure that the ModSecurity (ModSec) is disabled or they are not blocking any process of the plugin.

You can also ask them to whitelist Rank Math’s routes for saving:

    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta
    /wp-json/rankmath/v1/saveModule

Let us know how this goes.
