Error when adding redirect

    We checked your website and we can see that it is redirecting from the HTTP version to HTTPS version, can you please confirm this.

    If the error is still appearing, you can check the steps below:

    To make the website go from http to https, you need to check your WordPress settings and change the Site URL and WordPress URL in the WordPress Dashboard > Settings > General. Once, that is done, you will be logged out of the website and ask to log back in with https:// on the URL.

    Alternatively, you can follow this guide and redirect to the HTTPS version using .htaccess:

    Take a backup of your htaccess file before editing.

    Thank you for your message. There is an important website linking to us but linking to http://hoveniersbedrijfstal.nl instead of https://hoveniersbedrijfstal.nl.

    The link is not being picked up in Ahrefs whatsoever. That’s why I want to know if we still need to add anything in the Redirection tab. Where you suggested changing the URL inside WP Admin, it’s already up-to-date.

    Before this external site linked to our old domain, now they have changed it to link to our new domain, but they forgot to change http to https (old domain was http).

    I wonder how I can still get that link power because it seems Google isn’t picking up the link because it’s pointing to http.

    As the HTTP version of your website is already getting redirected to the HTTPS version, you don’t need to add any other redirection for this.

    If someone clicks on the HTTP version of your website from some external website, they will automatically redirect to the correct version of your site.

    Regarding the Ahrefs issue, the URL has to be manually changed on the external site.
