Error setting static path for Woocommerce product catalog

  • Hello!
    I want help from you
In RankMath I have set up the Woocommerce item in the “SEO Settings” panel to enable the “Remove base”, “Remove category base”, “Remove parent slugs” and I have also set the custom path in wordpress settings to “/ product /”
This means I want to shorten the static path eg: “https://domain.com/product-category/clothes” into “https://domain.com/clothes” or “https://domain.com / product / jeans “into” https://domain.com/jeans
However, when I create a new product, the static path of the product like “https://domain.com/product/jeans” has been shortened to “https://domain.com/jeans”
But creating a static path for the “https://domain.com/product-category/clothes” product list is not shortened to “https://domain.com/clothes” but still displaying “https: //domain.com/product-category/clothes ”

Note: When clicking on the link for the product list outside the website interface, the static link for “https://domain.com/product-category/clothes” has been reduced to “https: // domain. clothes / clothes “.
In the interface edit the product list inside still exists “https://domain.com/product-category/clothes” and when I copy it and paste it into the link, it still displays this link.

I want to ask why there are 2 static paths like that that exist and how to fix it?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

This can be attributed to some caching on your server. Would you mind purging your site and browser cache and check if the issue can still be reproduced?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

I use a hidden browser. Every time I change it, turn it off and re-enable the hidden browser to access it again, but it doesn’t seem to change like the images I attached below.
-Image 1 is the configuration of Woocommerce in Rankmath
-Image 2 is the configuration of the static path for the product
-Image 3 is the link in the product catalog when viewing or editing it
-Image 4 is when I shrink the link in the product catalog when viewing or editing it and pasting it into the browser
-Picture 5 is when I go to the interface outside the browser and click on the category

    Hello,

I do not see any images.

If you already set up your permalinks to omit the category base – please do not do that again in Rank Math. The option we provided is only so your previous links do not get a 404 if you make this change in the permalink.

If this is a fresh website and you already made the change in permalinks settings, there is no reason to do it via Rank Math again.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Sorry for my misconfiguration, so images are not loaded for you
I want the static path in image 4 to be shortened as image 3 in the editing of the product catalog

    Hello,

    Thank you for the response.

I have just tested this out on my local test site by setting the option to only remove the product base and this works as expected on my end.
Would you mind sharing some temporary admin access to your site to your site so that I can check this issue for you.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
