Error 403

  • Hi,

I constantly get the error 403:

    06:27:00 update
    “error”: {
    “code”: 403,
“message”: “Permission denied. Failed to verify the URL ownership.”,
    “errors”: [
“message”: “Permission denied. Failed to verify the URL ownership.”,
    “domain”: “global”,
    “reason”: “forbidden”
    “status”: “PERMISSION_DENIED”

I have repeated the setup process at least 10 times to no avail. I am at my wits’ end.

Additionally, I experience two other errors.

    1. On DuckDuckGo for Android the download of the json file falls. With Firefox, it works.
    2. On Android, uploading the json file does nothing, no matter which browser I use.

What shall I do? I have no access to a PC at the moment.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

If you upload the file to some service like Google Drive or Mega and share the URL in the Sensitive Data section, I can upload it for you to your website.

To do that, we need to be able to log in. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
