  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with enabling the Index Status tab in Rank Math. If the “Enable the Index Status tab” option is grayed out and unclickable, it’s recommended to switch to a Chromium-based browser like Google Chrome and navigate to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Analytics to toggle it on.

If you’ve already tried this and are still facing issues, please ensure that you have connected the URL-prefix property to fetch the data properly in Rank Math Analytics and Index Status. The URL-prefix property also helps keep your sitemap in sync with Google Search Console as it is submitted automatically for you.

If you’re using a domain property, please reconnect your Google account from WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Analytics and connect the URL-prefix property. After that, you can try to enable the Index Status tab again.

If you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to reach out to our support team. We are available 24×7, 365 days a year and are happy to help you with any issues you might face.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Please make sure that you are not connecting to Google Search Console via a domain property (sc-domain:yourdomain.com) but rather a URL prefix. Because our plugin is only compatible with the URL prefix properties and it doesn’t fully support fetching data from domain properties. Also, the IndexStatus feature doesn’t work with it.

In this case, please try reconnecting your Google account from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and connect the URL-prefix property with all the required permissions.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hi

yes its correct that i have connected Google Search Console via a domain property (sc-domain:yourdomain.com).
As you have suggested i will reconfigure it with url prefix.

But before which I would like to have a clarity on a couple of my concerns

1.For deleting the previous config via domain property … shall i follow this step

DOMAIN > MY DOMAIN > MANAGE DOMAIN > DNS > TXT > REMOVE THAT PARTICULAR HOST RECORD TXT VALUE

    Or Else

do i have to do something in google search console as well

    2. if Rankmath is only compatible with the URL prefix properties and if it doesn’t fully support fetching data from domain properties then what should i do for the sub-domain? Do i i need to add each domain manually

    Hello,

    1. You’ll need to create a new property on GSC and verify it using any verification method, you can use Rank Math to verify the property.

    2. Yes, if you are using URL-prefix properties, you would need to have an individual property for each subdomain.

    Thank you!
