  • Hello,

I apologize for the issue you are facing with the error message “Either ‘offers’, ‘review’, or ‘aggregateRating’ should be specified” in your category pages on Google Search Console.

This error typically occurs when there is missing Schema data related to product categories. To fix this error, you need to ensure that the necessary Schema data is present on your category pages.

Here are the steps to resolve this issue:

    1. Check Product Schema: Ensure that the Product Schema is correctly set up for your category pages. You can remove the Product Schema from category pages by following the steps outlined in this tutorial.

    2. Add Missing Data: To address the specific error message, you may need to add either “offers,” “review,” or “aggregateRating” data to your category pages. This can be done by encouraging customers to leave reviews or ratings for your products.

    3. Clear Cache: After making any changes, remember to clear your website cache to ensure that the updated information is reflected.

Regarding the Schema used for product category pages, Google recommends not including Product Schema on category pages. The Product Schema is intended for specific product information, not categories of products. You can find detailed instructions on how to remove Schema from product category pages in this guide.

If you need further assistance or encounter any difficulties while implementing these steps, please feel free to ask for help by replying to this ticket.

Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention. We are here to help you resolve this issue.

    Warm regards.

    Hello,

We checked the affected product page and we can’t see that error anymore. What’s left is the missing review and the aggregateReview but these are just warnings or optional to provide since the product doesn’t have any reviews at the moment. See screenshot below:

    Hope that helps.

As i mentioned before, the issue is not on the product pages, it is on my product categories pages example: https://wovenheritagebasket.com/product-category/woven-storage-baskets/laundry-baskets/

When i inspect it, the product schema still show up even as i have removed snippet data and cleared cache multiple times, kindly inspect the product category pages to see the problem.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

The option to remove snippet data was unchecked on the product categories so that’s why the data was still present.

We checked that option and the data is now removed correctly for those types of pages.

We would recommend that you clear the website cache so this is updated immediately for cached pages and it solves the issue on GSC quicker.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

Wow, i apologise, i thought it was supposed to be uncheched (for some reason). Thank you, it’s resolved now.
