Edit markup for FAQ

Is there a way to override the markup of the FAQ Gutenburg block?

I understand not being able to do so within the plugin itself, but can I override it within my theme’s function.php file? If so, how?

I want to change the markup from Divs like you currently have, to using the HTML “details” tag.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Unfortunately, we don’t have a filter function for this yet.

For now, you can make use of Rank Math FAQ block’s few additional options to customize your FAQs as you can see in this screenshot:
    faQ

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Thanks. These options don’t support what I’m trying to do.

Do you plan to add a filter any time soon? Ideally, anything that outputs HTML markup should be overridable within the theme.

    Hello,

Can you please explain what you are trying to do exactly?

Perhaps there might be a workaround we can offer.

Hi, what other info do you desire? In my original post, I state: “I want to change the markup from Divs like you currently have, to using the HTML “details” tag.”

Basically, you use div and heading tags for the FAQ block. I want to use the HTML tags details and summary to create an FAQ block to create an accordion-style FAQ without the need for additional css/js.

    Hello,

We appreciate your feature. We have added it to our internal list of feature suggestions.

If it is possible to incorporate it, we will do it in a future release of the plugin.

If you have any other feedback, please do not hesitate to share by opening another ticket.
