Duplicates Site on Google Search Console

    I had just set up Rank Math on 2 sites and both have the same issue with it. When I Linked them to my Google Search Console it duplicated the site for it. I tried your help section but it just gave me suggestions for when a page is duplicated but not the entire site for it.

    On the left side of the search console it will show my site as example.com with “Domain Property” under it, which is how it has always been, but then Rank Match added another entyr under it as “https://example.com” without Domain Property showing under it. The stats seem to be Duplicated for each one in search console as well then.

    I am currently using the Google Site Kit plugin on both sites and I didn’t activate the “Instal Analytics code” but Rank Match seems to have broken Site Kit on both sites as Site Kit is saying “Error connecting Site Kit” and won’t connect now.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Please note that our plugin is only compatible with the URL prefix properties and it doesn’t fully support fetching data from domain properties (sc-domain:yourdomain.com). Also, the IndexStatus feature doesn’t work with it.

    So, you’ll have to connect with the URL prefix property instead of the domain property. Here’s how you can properly connect your Google account with Rank Math: https://rankmath.com/kb/connect-your-google-account/

    Regarding the Google Site Kit issue, could you please confirm if it is only occurring because of the Rank Math plugin? You can temporarily disable the Rank Math on your website and then try to connect your Google Site Kit again and see if that works for you.

    Don’t worry, you’ll not lose any of your Rank Math settings as they are saved on your database.
