  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Can you please share your website URL with us?

The screenshot you intended to share didn’t pull through.

You can share the screenshot of the issue you’re currently facing using an image-sharing tool like https://imgur.com/upload.

This will help us to investigate and troubleshoot the issue.

    Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hello again,

Apologies that the tool wasn’t working.

Having both old and new URLs of your posts appear in Google search results can create duplicate content issues and affect your website’s SEO.

We have been able to check the screenshots of the old and new URLs. Based on our search using the site: operator, the new URL appeared on the Google search result page while the old URL did not bring out any results as seen in the image below:

This could mean that Google has de-indexed the old URL and indexed the new URL.

If however, you are still seeing the old URL in your search result, you can take the following steps to resolve this.

    1. Clear your browser cache and try the search again.

    2. You can resubmit your sitemap to Google via Google Search Console.

    3. In Google Search Console, you can remove the old URL and request that Googlebot crawl your site. This can speed up the process of indexing the new URLs and de-indexing the old.

    4. Also in the Google Search Console: Keep an eye on Google Search Console for any crawl errors or issues related to the old URL. Google will report issues it encounters during the indexing process.

Please note that it can take some time for Google to re-crawl and re-index your website. Be patient, and over time, the old URLs should drop out of search results.

Continue monitoring your Google Search Console for updates and crawl reports to ensure that the old URLs are eventually replaced by the new ones in search results.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.

Old url did not appear because you search
    Wrong it’s

    (OLD URL)
    Site:https://modzmania.com/dynamons-world/Mod/

See the screen shot you sent. It’s incorrect search.

Both url are appearing in search results check again with correct url.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

Since the old URLs are already redirecting to the new permalink, Google will soon realize that it has already changed and deindexed them. Google will understand that, and eventually deindex/remove them from the search results page (if they were indexed before).

Please note that it may take some time for Google and search engines to deindex URLs if they are already showing on the search results pages.

According to Google guidelines, crawling can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. The crawling and deindexing of the website/URLs depend on the authority and crawl budget of the website.

    Looking forward to helping you.

But if Google deindex old url then what will happen to my Search ranking and Page Authority? (PA)

    Hello again,

When you implement 301 redirects from old URLs to new URLs and Google recognizes and processes these redirects, your search rankings and page authority should be preserved.

    Here’s how it typically works:

    1. A 301 Redirects passes on the PageRank: A 301 redirect is a permanent redirect that tells search engines that the old URL has moved to a new location. It also transfers the majority of the PageRank (link equity or link juice) from the old URL to the new URL and tells Google that this new URL is just as good as the old one. This means that the authority and ranking signals associated with the old URL are passed to the new URL. Read more here: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/301-redirect-pagerank/275503/

    2. Preservation of Rankings: When Google indexes the new URLs and recognizes the 301 redirects, it should maintain the search rankings for the new URLs. In most cases, you won’t experience a significant drop in rankings as long as the redirects are correctly implemented. 301 redirects may not boost the rankings of your web pages, but they can ensure that both Google and search users are directed to the content you want them to find. You can read more about it here: https://www.searchenginejournal.com/ranking-factors/301-redirects/

    3. Time for Reindexing: It may take some time for Google to re-crawl and re-index your website with the new URLs. During this transition period, it’s possible to see some fluctuations in rankings. However, these fluctuations are usually temporary.

    4. Page Authority Transfer: With 301 redirects, the page authority of the old URLs is transferred to the new URLs. This helps maintain the overall authority of your website.

We suggest that you continue to monitor the Google Search Console for any crawl errors, issues, or messages related to the redirects. Google will provide insights into how it’s processing the changes.

While there may be some temporary fluctuations during the transition period, implementing 301 redirects correctly should help preserve your search rankings and page authority.

The key is to ensure that the new URLs offer valuable and relevant content to users. Over time, Google should fully recognize and index the new URLs, and your rankings should stabilize or even improve.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need assistance with anything else.

    Thank you.
