Hello jeremy, yeah is there something you can help us with?
i figure out a plugin called elementor pro doing this bug. but i think all this bug happen after a developer did something heĀ“s dont anything about he change the directory folder wp-content to files and seems like a lot off crawler looking on the wp-content and not files folder. of course he is not a part of the company any more. i have looked into the database and can see lot of stuff still look into wp-content
the problem is i dont know how i can solve this best, im scared if i change it back to wp-content then the same issue will happens with the seo scanner and that stuff so the question is do you have any advise how to handle this one.
Hello,
Thank you for getting back to us.
Just to clarify your issue here, would you mind sharing some of the affected links and also share a screenshot to better understand your issue here.
You can also stop crawlers from checking your folders by adding this into your robots.txt file:
User-Agent: *
Disallow: /wp-content/
Disallow: /wp-includes/
Allow: /wp-content/images/
This allows them to only crawl the image files.
We would like to check on your issue where the domain is appended on your URLs. You can as well provide credentials of your site in the sensitive data section.
We are looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
