  • Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this issue with your website pages not being indexed by Google. The “Discovered – currently not indexed” status in Google Search Console means that Google has found your website but hasn’t added it to its search index yet. This can happen when Google needs more time to process your website and add it to the search index.

If it’s been months and these pages are still not indexed, there could be a few reasons for this. One potential problem could be your website’s internal link structure. If your website has a poor internal link structure, that could be why Google isn’t indexing your site.

Another potential issue could be your robots.txt file. This file tells Google which pages on your website it should and shouldn’t crawl. If you’ve accidentally blocked Google from crawling your website, that could explain why your site isn’t being indexed.

You can check for the disallow tag in your robots.txt file and ensure that there is no such tag preventing your page from being indexed. If there is a disallow tag, you can change that using the robots.txt editor in Rank Math at WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Edit robots.txt.

Additionally, you may want to consider evaluating your website against well-known quality factors like internal linking structure and content duplication issues.

I hope this helps! If you have any further questions or need assistance with any of these steps, please feel free to ask.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to this issue.

We can see that the robots meta tags in these pages are correctly set to index. While it is Google’s prerogative to index or not, you can run the URLs using your Google Search Console inspection tool and request indexing:

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I’ve submitted re-indexing requests multiple times over the last few months – just wondering if you are able to analyze the pages to identify the specific issue.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching back and providing further details. Since you’ve already attempted re-indexing multiple times without success.

Let’s dive deeper into potential reasons why your pages might be marked as ‘Discovered – currently not indexed’ in Google Search Console.

Here are some key areas to consider:

1 . If your website is relatively new, it might take some time for Google to index all of your pages. However, since you mentioned it’s been a few months, this is likely less of a concern.

    Thank you.

Would you suggest that Google is perhaps considering this as duplicated content?

    Hello,

We’ve checked the URLs, but the content seems different from one another.

In this case, you may do a site audit on your site to determine any duplicate issues on your site. You can use tools like Ahrefs or Semrush for that.

    Hope that helps.
