  • Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

I already used the maintenance mode provided by “Site Health” plugin, deactivating all plugins and using the default theme: the issue remains the same.

    Regards
    Thierry

    Hi Thierry,

Thank you for the additional info.

Could you please check whether the meta description works when your inspect the page source on your browser?
You can find the meta description tag under the < head > section as shown below:

<!-- Search Engine Optimization by Rank Math - https://s.rankmath.com/home -->
    <title>This is a test - Rank Math Suite Uncategorized</title>
    <meta name="description" content="Hello World"/>

We are looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hi

Maybe it was not clear enough in my first post.

It is only a back-end issue (issue is the same with Chrome and Safari browser)

On the front end, meta description is OK.

On the Back-End, you can check the result before and after saving the article, but it cannot be seen when you open again the article.

    Best regards

    Hi Thierry,

    Thanks for the additional info.

I cannot reproduce these errors on my end when the post contains an excerpt as shown below:
    IMG

Auto generated excerpts on the other hand may not be readily generated on the backend post edit UI.

We are looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Did you try to open again the article after saving and closing it?

    Hi Thierry,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Yes I did and the issue does not replicate as you mentioned. Please test this from a different WP installation or from a different post type.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

    Thank you.
