Hi,
Thanks for getting in touch with us.
That is completely automated and Google chooses to show the sitelinks where required. It seems like your website has been on a steady decline in SERPs since Dec. 2019. That might be why Google has chosen to downgrade your sitelinks to the inline links. An SEO plugin doesn’t affect your Sitelinks.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Hello,
That’s not answering my question.
Did you check the screenshot (the link in the Sensitive Data section) from a Google search result with 6 different Sitelinks ?
The meta description underneath the Sitelink is not displaying instead it show the words from the navigation menu e. g Artists · Catalogue · About · Blog · Info
Please advise
Hi,
Yes, I see that. That is completely Google’s call how they want to show the sitelinks.
If you check the description in those sitelinks – they are all randomly taken from your content. Maybe Google thought it would be more suitable to show a minified version of the sitelinks for your website.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Hi,
Can you please let me know where I can find the info that my website has been on a steady decline in SERPs?
“It seems like your website has been on a steady decline in SERPs since Dec. 2019.”

Hello,
I think I know what could be the problem. In the dashboard ‘SEO Titles & Meta’ in section ‘Post Types’ the descriptions include %excerpt%
That’s maybe why Google takes random content and ignores my meta description of the page… ?
I’ve changed the post types description to %seo_description%
Is %seo_description% the meta description?
Please advise, thanks
Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.
Yes %seo_description% is the SEO description and this should be able to fix the issue 🙂
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
