    Hi,

So I started using Rank Math today to replace Yoast, and two of the tasks that it “takes over” from other plugins are 301 redirection links and the Sitemap. Using RankMath means it forces me to STOP using other plugins due to task conflict.

I am using a plugin called Redirection previously, to 301 redirect some old changed URLs on my site to new URLs.

But is it really doing the redirection tasks now, and how can I be sure?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention.

If you have already imported the redirections from that plugin, you can check the redirections you have in Rank Math > Redirections.

If not yet, you can do so in Rank Math > Status & Tools > Import & Export. Here’s a link for more information:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/import-export-settings/

Please note that some options are only available when you enable the Advanced Mode in Rank Math. If it’s not showing, you must have chosen to use the Easy Mode. Please follow the steps in this link to switch to Advanced Mode:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/advanced-mode/

Rank Math also offers a redirection feature for your website. To avoid conflicts with the redirection plugin you are using, you can either disable the redirection plugin (after importing the redirects) or disable Rank Math’s redirection module in Rank Math > Dashboard
    Redirection

    I hope that helps.

Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.

    Hi,

I just rechecked and found out that Rank Math did NOT import any of my old redirections. I found out by deactivating the Redirection feature in Rank Math and re-activating back my old Redirection plugin.

After reactivating back, it shows me a bunch of URLs that I used to redirect in the past!

This is dangerous. And Rank Math was claiming that it would import my old redirections when I installed it (in the Advanced Wizard).

    So what now??

    Hello,

    Thank you for the update.

In this case, we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Thank you.
