  • It also looks like the automatic alt text I entered isn’t showing up either.

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

I’ve checked your homepage, and it seems that the featured image‘s size you’re using is too small (200×200).

Please ensure that the image file format you are uploading is only between jpeg, gif, or png, and the image resolution is as close as 1200 x 630 pixels as per Opengraph Standards.

Once done, clear your website’s cache and check the URL using Facebook Debugger Tool

For the alt text, please note that the Add missing ALT attributes and Add missing TITLE attributes options are not added to images added by your WordPress theme or page builder to various sections like your sliders, thumbnails, icons, etc. as they only apply to images added directly on your content, and added on the fly.

Here’s a link for more information:

    I hope that helps.

    Thank you.

Thank you for your reply. The image I have set as the default social thumbnail is 500 *500 px. It shows up on the Facebook debugger slightly cut off, but when I send links in Whatsapp for example, it doesn’t show up.

You can see what I mean here.

For the alt text, I am trying to solve the point given to me in the SEO Analysis saying that I have images with no Alt Attributes. It looks like it’s talking about my logo and other images that are embedded on the page.

Not sure how to move forward.

I tried sharing the URL and the preview is displayed properly:

Can you please clear your website cache and try sharing the URL again?

For the ALT text, if you do not have an option to add the ALT text to those images, you can ignore that warning.

We look forward to helping you.

Hi, I’ve cleared both my browser cache and website cache, the preview still doesn’t show up, nor does it pull any meta data, like the site name, tag line and description. When I send it from my phone, it pulls the meta data but not the image.

Any idea what’s going on here?

In terms of the alt tags, I added them manually for those specific images.

When visiting the actual image path, it shows a forbidden error as you can see in my screenshot below:

Kindly check this one first with your hosting provider.

After resolving the 403 error, clear your website cache again and check the URL on any social platform.

Looking forward to helping you on this one.

Hi, got it fixed from my hosting provider. It shows up when I send from my phone now. Still the same on my laptop, but that’s okay. They couldn’t guarantee that it’s a permanent fix which is strange, but thank you for your help.

We are super happy that your issue is resolved.

If you do have another question in the future, please feel free to create a new forum topic, and it will be our pleasure to assist you again.

    Thank you.
